Privacy

Last updated 5 November 2026. MixMyClass is built so that no student data ever leaves your school account.

What is stored

Surnames, dates of birth, photos, medical, pastoral or other sensitive information are not needed — please don't enter them.

Where it is stored

  1. In your browser, on your device — always.
  2. In your own Google Drive — only if you choose “Connect Google Drive”. MixMyClass creates a folder called MixMyClass with one file per class, named by random IDs. Google's drive.file permission lets the app see only files it created.

There is no MixMyClass server that receives or stores student data.

Google user data

If you connect Google Drive, MixMyClass asks Google for:

This data goes directly between your browser and Google. It is never sent to MixMyClass or anyone else, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. MixMyClass's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect at any time in Settings → Disconnect, or remove MixMyClass's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Who can see it

You, on devices where you use MixMyClass; anyone you share the Drive folder with; and your school's Google Workspace administrators under your school's existing agreements. Presentation mode shows only the class name and groups — never rules, notes or attendance.

What we don't do

No analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party scripts (Google's sign-in script loads only when you connect Drive). No student accounts. Nothing is sold or shared — we never receive it.
